SKEPURS Society for Social Welfare is a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged individuals and communities — providing financial assistance to needy patients so that a lack of resources never becomes a barrier to healthcare and treatment.
Our founding story
It began in a pandemic.
SKEPURS Society for Social Welfare was founded by Dr. Jenisha Jain during the COVID-19 pandemic — a time when countless families faced unprecedented health and financial challenges. As a healthcare professional on the front lines, she witnessed many patients delaying or foregoing essential medical care because of job losses, reduced incomes, and financial insecurity.
Deeply moved by the struggles of vulnerable patients and underserved communities, she envisioned an organization that would bridge the gap between healthcare needs and financial constraints. What began as an effort to support patients in crisis soon grew into a broader mission of promoting health, dignity, and social welfare among urban slum populations and other marginalized groups.
Today, SKEPURS works to ensure that no individual is denied healthcare or a better quality of life because of economic hardship — guided by compassion, service, and community empowerment.
